Hello all,
next year februari i'm going to Costa Rica for 1 month and i'm curious if there is any thing intereseted to see for spotters. Maybe there are some places where i really need to go but so far i have no idear. The only thing i know is that costa rica has no air force ( or defence force) but i think that their has to be some interested airfields/ airstrips?
Can someone tell my how the local autorithies are? Do they accept and also understand our hobby or is it a bad idear to take pictures of aircrafts / helicopters in Costa Rica??
Any information is welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Ralph

There is a fantastic restaurant at San Jose international airport.
It is on the opposite side of the airfield.
Fantastic elevated view, no trouble with the law !
Food and beer available... paradise

There are spotting groups in Costa Rica and most Latin American countries.Their forums are mainly in Spanish.
This would imply spotting has at least some acceltance in these countries.
