Madrid - Cuatro Vientos (LECU/MCV) - 2009

Post by Piet Luijken »

As I had some time in Madrid I had rented a nice Fiat Dublo Multijet Diesel ( Not! ) and was hoping for lots of sun at Torrejon. Well, fortunately the snow showers stayed way north but there was lots of rain. Change of plan was needed so I decided to take my car around Madrid to visit all the airports and preserved aircraft.

First stop was the Bo105 at Plaza del Cardenal Cisneros.
It is still parked on top of the university and can be well photographed from the hill in the park in the north.

HE.15-16 ET-129 Bo105C preserved

Next stop was Cuatro Vientos. A drive around revealed some aircraft although not all, so I have to return some day. Best spot was along the new road which leads north of the large Metro emplacement. From here you have a good view onto the mil ramps and a bit away from the Police.

Hi all

Noted in the VIP hangar on 10-10 were AS532s HT.27-12 and HT.27-13. According to the Scramble DB 27-12 has a prev. id of HU.21L-60, and 27-13 as HU.21L-61. No c/ns are given however, my db has HU.21L-60 as 2356 and 61 as 2359. So, can anyone confirm (or deny) that this c/ns match thru to HT.27-12 and -13.

Thanks Graham Arnold and Peter Norris
