RA-3482K was involved in a landing mishap during the Dorsten Flugtage last Saturday the 12th of September, sustaining damage to the undercarriage, left wing and propeller.

Thankfully no personal injuries, but it will be some time before this Lelystad-based Yak-3U replica will grace the skies again... :(

Again? The day before the “Open Luchtmacht Dagen” at Volkel this year het plane was land to early and nearly left the runway.

The plane stopped at the runway, and some people pushed the plane from the runway.

Well i can tell you that this bird is one hack of a tricky aircraft to fly. I had a brief talk to the pilot of this machine at a wonderfull day at my playground and he told me that this aircraft flies sometimes like riding a bull.

I wish him and his family all the best in getting this beast airborne again...
