No, he really means Australian, as you can see by the Kangoroo roundel, the serial, and the camouflage.

The test flights are being performed under German military regulations, hence a mandatory German serial and roundel.Andras wrote:Ok, can someone explain me why they have a German roundel?

You see the same with helicopters from the Westland Agusta factory in the United Kingdom (UK military serials) and helicopters from the Agusta factory in Italy (for instance the Dutch NH-90 which still flies with an Italian military serial).

Due to rotorblade-blur it is not possible to read the complete c/n, but the last two digits of three are . 34

According to the information I have, however unconfirmed, the c/n is 1243.

The regs: German serial is 98+96; Australian will be A40-015 and c/n should be 1243/TAUA15 according to the database.
