Indeed, something actually worth coming over to Leeuwarden for!
Consider that the Canadian CC-177 will arrive on the Friday after Ascension day which for many people is a Bank Holiday anyway. Nice timing!

Hans.

I actually heard some rumours that Canadian C-17 will come to Eindhoven to drop off the helicopter.
The helicopter will make some check flights from Eindhoven and will then leave for Leeuwarden.

Maybe someone can confirm this?

Best regards, Rob.

Eindhoven was first on the list, but KLu people didn't want to work on their day off for a foreign aircraft, so it was decided that Leeuwarden would open for the CC-177.

I am curious if 303 SAR squadron will be able to participate in their own SAR meet. I was at Leeuwarden last week and only R-02 was present but with some technical issues. R-01 and R-03 are both in heavy maintenance so that leaves ehm..zero... flying Tweety's at the moment..

perhaps they can borrow an Alouette 3 from 300Sqn and a rescue hoist from the MLM at Soesterberg? The type is not unfamiliar with that role

I did believe one of the above mentioned has been returned to EHLW, some time ago.

Organizers never participate in their own SAR meet!

Rene, the other 2, being R-01 and R-03, are still in Sweden.

There are some delays due to financial issues. Work was stopped untill the KLU settled a payment.
