Polish Air Force - news 2009
I've decided ot make a new topic to inform you about interesting events in Polish Air Force (PolAF), and to put the information on them in one place rather then make a few small own topics. Hope this is more convenient way of bringing news to all of you.
Here goes the first one:
Today, 10 March, there will be an official presentation for the press of E-3A (LX-N90444) and also 2x F-16 (4066 and 4086 were planned) and 2x Su-22 at EPWA (1st Air Base). This presentation is to be accompanied by a brefing concerning AWACS missions, the "Fruit Fly" series of exercise, and PolAF as a member of NAPMO.
The latest report from a collegue says the Su-22 have been cancelled...

Re: Polish Air Force - news 2009
An official date of arriving of the first of five C-130E for Polish Air Force is known. This first one is to arrive Powidz AB (EPPW) on 24 March 2009 (Tuesday), so in less than two weeks.
The works in Powidz aerodrome connected with the preparation to using the Hercules are still on.
Five C-130E after deep modernisation are going to be given to Poland by the US Government as a part of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Progamme. The delivery of all five should by accomplished by summer 2010.

Does anyone know which AFB in USA the first C-130 was departing from? And when?
Would be grateful for any kind of details on her way to Poland.

Hi Guys,
EDDS is Stuttgart. Can anyone confirm that this bird is actually at Spang or Ramstein?
Best regards,
Arjan

She is appointed to be at Powidz AB (EPPW) at 1115z. There will be a welcome ceremony, also with some VIPs, including someone from USAFE.
