It would be really stunning because I think Garuda Indonesia belongs to Schiphol Airport as well as Surinam Airways

Oops: missed the language.
By the way, even if they get their new license, what about the question what Garuda has of numbers of wide-bodies or long-distance-frames. The last thing i can remember is they had 2 or 3 744's en was negotiating with orders for the T7 or A330/340's
Even if they get their license again what about the planning for the frames for the trips and slots for stop-overs etc.

Yeh, you are right. last year I visited Indonesia and Garuda still has some 747-400s and A330s too. There are negotiations about any Triple 7 but I thought they won't be delivered before 2012 (correct me if I am wrong!)

So in case of both types you have a seperated flightplan. Jakarta - Singapore - Amsterdam or perhaps Jakarta - Mumbai - Amsterdam. I don't know for sure about that but sounds reasonable to me.
The negotiations for the T7 are still on i guess and delivery shoud be in 2012. So in case of renewing operations they will have to lease.....

We should Garuda have to lease some aircraft? If Garuda will get its licences back to fly here it means that they can use 747s or either A330s on its route to Amsterdam.
The route via Singapore is quite reasonable indeed however a route via Denpasar (Bali) would be an option as well

Garuda can take the B744 used on the CGK-NRT // NRT-DPS-CGK route, and bring it to AMS, and downgrade the equipment to Japan. I still have the feeling that the 744's used to Japan is a bit too much capacity.
In that case GA can operate just normal nonstop operations.

Garuda also operate its A330s to Japan right.
And they just leased two A330s from MyTravel Airways and Thomas Cook.
Fleet now contains 7 long haul aircrafts and I am not sure if the leases are included...
We will see what is going to happen.

The leased A330's are used for Hajj flight operations, and won't be seen on the normal network usually.Boudewijn van Oirschot wrote:Garuda also operate its A330s to Japan right.

GA to Japan, yes they do operate A333's, I though to NGO or KIX. NRT is usually served by the by the B744.

Oh yeh I heard about hese Hajj operations.
I thought Garuda also operates its 747-400s to Singapore but not regular.. Do you know to which more destinations Garuda often operates one of its wide bodies next to Melbourne, Singapore, Narita, Nagoya and Kansai?

Garuda to fly into Europe again
National flagcarrier Garuda (and 3 other Indonesian airliners) could be flying into Europe again.
A spokesman of Transportation minister of Indonesia announced the EU hinted they would lift the flight ban on 4 airliners.
An official announcement will be made within 2 weeks.
The four airlines are Garuda, Mandala Airlines, Airfast Indonesia and Premiair.
We will wait and see what will happen this time (see earlier announcements)
