According to a report in the Dutch paper De Telegraaf, KLM will merge it's two subsidaries Martinair and Transavia.
The airlines will continue to operate under their current names for the meantime, but they will get a single management to run both. The paper reports that the head of Martinair will be named as the new CEO.
Article (in Dutch): Luchtvaartnieuws
It'll be very interesting to see how this is going to work out, and what the final brand will be (I'm guessing Transavia). I assume that Martinair Cargo will either be spun off as a separate company, or be merged into KLM Cargo.

I know we have had this discussion and i won't start it all over again but i think Martinair Cargo will becamo the brand for the merged KLM / Martinair Cargo entity, based on the reputation Martinair has in the cargo community.flying_kiwi wrote:It'll be very interesting to see how this is going to work out, and what the final brand will be (I'm guessing Transavia). I agree! It would be really stupid to drop off that name!cHabu wrote:I know we have had this discussion and i won't start it all over again but i think Martinair Cargo will becamo the brand for the merged KLM / Martinair Cargo entity, based on the reputation Martinair has in the cargo community.flying_kiwi wrote:It'll be very interesting to see how this is going to work out, and what the final brand will be (I'm guessing Transavia).
