From a Florida-spotter:
" Yesterday afternoon I visited Tampa to talk to them about spotting at Tampa for the Superbowl week-end. They are more than happy to make us all welcome. The lady I saw is Kelly Figley, the Community Relations Coordinator, her email is KFigley@TampaAirport.com. She has asked that she be emailed with details of your visit; names, passport/driving license number and when you'll be there etc. She will pass it on to the police and operations people. She suggested the car park roof as the best place for the day and I would recommend the roof of the economy parking at the South end of the field. It is only $9 a day as opposed to $20 near the terminals. There are toilets in the car park, a free shuttle to the terminals for refreshmentsand excellent views onto the FBO ramps. Jets will be parked on the cross runway and surrounding taxi-ways. The wasteland all around the FBO's will be used for parking coaches/rental cars etc so I don't know how accessible those areas will be. Bear in mind a no fly zone will be in force during the game. I am hearing rumours this will include airliners (to be confirmed). Any late arrivals/early departures will have to operate from St Pete so thatwould be a good time to go over there before dark. They are expecting many jets and I should get a list from there as to what is due. Other over-flow fields will be Vandenburg to the East and, possibly, Lakeland. All we hope now is that Tampa and Miami are not the teams! "

Re: Tampa Bay Superbowl spotting info
The airport authorities of Lakeland (KLAL) told me, on the 3rd of January, I should stay longer in the States since they're expecting about 600 planes during the Super Bowl .possibly, Lakeland.
