Re: [ LOG ] Reims 22-02-2007
Passed BRU at 18.30 but nothing left on the Tarmac..., Melsbroek was empty and Abelag only featured the "usual" civil a/cpampa31 wrote:Brussel

Sorry, but my french is very bad, but I understand that 6 Gripens are now at Reims.
Roland

LOG: Reims 26 Mar 07
I went to Reims yesterday morning on my way to TLP and logged the following. We were checked out by the friendly Gendermerie and allowed to continue after the usual, routine passport checks. They even tried to tell me in their limited English what time the Gripens were due to fly!
(073). EMB121 French AF coded YB
39230 Gripen JAS.39 C Swedish AF
39253 Gripen JAS.39 C Swedish AF
39260 Gripen JAS.39 C Swedish AF
39817 Gripen JAS.39 D Swedish AF
39823 Gripen JAS.39 D Swedish AF
634 Mirage 2000 D French AF coded 3-IC overshoot
(683). Mirage 2000 D French AF coded 3-IV overshoot
605 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-CO
606 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-CU
613 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-CC
614 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-NR
624 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-NY
630 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-CN
636 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-NL
637 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-CP
640 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-NV
643 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-CE
645 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-CH
646 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-NW
650 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-NZ
654 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-NC
661 Mirage F.1 CR French AF coded 33-NK
Can anyone confirm that 3-IV is still 683 after it was reported at Florennes two weeks ago?
Regards
Mark (with Gareth and ED)

The following was noted on 8 August, roughly between 9.00 and 10.30:
637/33-CP Mirage F.1CR
640/33-NV Mirage F.1CR
650/33-NZ Mirage F.1CR
.../33-CY Mirage F.1CR
.../33-CU Mirage F.1CR
.../33-CT Mirage F.1CR
.../33-NU Mirage F.1CR
Could anyone tie-up the last four? Gendarmerie visited us while they taxied out, and they were not happy to see our cameras...

Serials
Just two weeks ago we saw at exactly the same location taxiing in:
CY/660, CU/606, CT/620, NU/603
While we were there we saw only one person. He was walking his dog and left 30 minutes later.
No gendarmes there.
Armed F1s even did some checks right in front of us before returning back inside the shelter area. Pilots who saw us waved friendly!
They know about aircraft spotting (photo reconaissance).

Thanks for the tie-ups.
And regarding the Gendarmes, it just depends on who you meet. We spoke to a British spotter, he was there the day before us. He was checked by the police and photographing was no problem at all. Next day we were sent away..
