Dutch Hawker Hunter Foundation ceases operations

De Dutch Hawker Hunter Foundation (DHHF) heeft besloten haar activiteiten per direct te beëindigen. Als gevolg zal de in 2021 aangekochte Hunter nooit naar Nederland komen.

Sad indeed. Goes to show that flying and maintaining a fleet of such planes by private means is not for the faint-hearted.

BTW, was it ever considered that the Hunters would used for contracting services to the CLSK (or other airforces for that matter). In the same way the Draken, ATAC's etc. do this?

Dat weet ik niet maar daar heb je i.i.g. een compleet andere organisatie voor nodig dan een stichting natuurlijk. Dus zeker niet door de DHHF lijkt mij. Erg jammer dat het zo tegen heeft gezeten.

@nilsko: de DHHF was (en is) zeker niet faint-hearted. Maar als je steeds maar aan het lijntje wordt gehouden: er komt een keer een eind aan het lijntje. Eeuwig jammer, had de Hunter graag nog een keer gezien.
