Again a very well organized spottersday for Iniochos, many thanks for the HAF for taking the trouble organizing this event. We were even positioned across the runway during the morning for better light. Too bad the weather was dramatic until about 13:00 when the sky cleared after a very well timed major downpour just as we were transitting from the east to the west side of the runway by bus... lucky us!

01503 and 01522 were the only two flying at the end of the afternoon around 17:00. 01530 did an engine check and was towed back to its shelter later on, 71756 was parked in front of a shelter.

Iniochos participants:

A very very interesting gathering of aircraft. Greek aircraft participation was a bit less than during previous additions when most units deployed about four aircraft. No Mirage 2000's (were on exercise at Mont de Marsan for Exercise Orion), and F-16's from 330 Mira and 343 Mira were seen. 335 and 336 normally operate from their homebase which is nearby Araxos. However, four 335 aircraft were deployed here.

Still a pitty that Indian military aircraft do not carry unit markings.

Thanks Hans and indeed, only saw them once with squadron markings. They were the 20sq aircraft that deployed to Red Flag in 2008.

A second PC9 was parked near the stored Phantoms.
46-20 was towed back late afternoon, i think around 1800?
Another visitor was TBM700 131/XQ.

9232 and 9244 don't appear to carry their FMS serial on the intake.

After a lot of looking at pictures of Saudi F-15 9244 the FMS looks to be 12-1084.

Agreed with the post above that 9232 doesn't carry the FMS serial on the LH intake ramp.

At least some of the F-15SA have their FMS serial ALSO painted on the bottom of the canopy (left hand side).

Yes they do. They also used to carry it in yellow on the left side of the front ejection seat.

Last Wednesday it was approximately take offs between 10-11, between 14-15, between 17-18 and another one (Greek only) was planned between 20-21 but we had left by then.

Phantom storage:
It looked like the row of old nine (R)F-4E's is still in situ plus the A-7. Only 68-402 was positively identified as thats the only one with a readable serial. Ahead of the row was F-4E (01505), id'd by its special scheme.
