Following the meeting of the Supreme National Defense Council, which took place on Tuesday, at the Cotroceni Palace, it was decided, among other things, to purchase some F-35 fighter jets produced in the USA.
UPDATE: The members of the Supreme National Defense Council (CSAT) approved, on Tuesday, the Concept of achieving the operational capability of air defense with multi-role aircraft of the 5th generation, the Presidential Administration informed.
According to the cited source, the development of Romania's military aviation was analyzed during the CSAT meeting.

President Klaus Iohannis called the meeting of the Supreme Council of Defense of the Country (SSAT), on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m., at the Cotroceni Palace, and among the topics on the agenda are the developments regarding the security situation in the Black Sea, in the context of Russia's aggression on Ukraine and external interventions on the Republic of Moldova, as well as the concept of the development of the Romanian military aviation.
