This morning on my way to Eindhoven a saw on the A2 heading north between Den Bosch and Utrecht two trucks with each a F16 as cargo.
Unfortunately I was not able to read any details.
The only thing I could see is that the last F16 has a serial on his belly outlined.
No further details known by me.

Steve,
These were reportedly on their way to be converted to tin cans having temporarily been stored at the barracks in Soesterberg. 3 left in total and no longer exist
Regards
Ben

Ben, are you sure they came from Soesterberg? The location where they were seen indicates they were heading in the (general) direction of SSB, not away from it. SSB is east of Utrecht, and by no means south of it. More likely they came from Volkel (or possibly Woensdrecht).

They are stored at Soesterberg in preparation for scrapping. I believe when they are ready to be converted to bean cans they move them to a Military Establishment near Dongen and then on to the scrap-man. So more than likely on their final leg to the scrap man.
