Nothing wrong with the old school slide-rule. In 2009 I still used an Aristo slide-rule to do calculations about nuclear decay. This because the Casio calculator probably didn't work after multiple nuclear detonations (yes, it was still trained in 2009). A slide rules don't use batteries, is EMP protected, can't be jammed and always works. They went to the moon using a slide rule
