WWII combat veteran B-25 'Old Glory' suffered major damage making a forced landing in a farm field near Stockton CA on Sept 19th. The plane had just been ferried out to Hawaii and back on board USS Essex to take part in VJ Day celebrations. In fact, I had just seen the plane flying in and out of NAS North Island just the day before the incident.
