Het wachten is op toestemming van de Surinaamse autoriteiten voor nieuwe repatriëringsvluchten zowel vertrek uit AMS als uit PBM. Deze toestemming zal niet (meer) komen voor Pasen.

LATAM Cargo B763F makes an interesting full turn before RWY 06-24:

UC1509 MIA 23.31 - AMS 14.11 B767-316FER N536LA

And gear down all the way in the turn. So maybe TEC?

Two days ago in the morning, a United 77W did the exact same thing. And in the evening, a Silk Way 748 also did a turn like this. Anyone knows why?

Can you explain what TEC is and does?

250kts at 4000ft at the beginning of the turn -> simply too much energy to make the approach if you ask me. Gear is a great speedbrake. :-)

@Raptor: I can imagine, but did not check, that more flights are allowed to do the approach by themselves, i.s.o. being vectored by ATC. Misjudgement (not usual to zero 'delay') can occur, and these days there simply is room to do a 360. In normal traffic, it would mean another circuit or similar manoeuvre.

In this case, indeed. ATC only specified ILS06 as the type of approach, so what they actually did was follow the procedure as published AD 2.EHAM-IAC-06.1, which is a right turn out at CH before joining the ILS. Ironically, this to the surprise of the controller on duty. :)
