Hi,
I photographed an H-60 near Washington, DC a few months back that is a little bit difficult to ID. I can read "279" - maybe "41279" on the tail, it has "United States" written on the boom, "126" with a white circle on the side of the cabin, and gloss black paint with gray strips. Here is the photo:

Here is an enhanced 1:1 image:

Any ideas?
Thank you!

Isn't that one of the S-70's of the US Department of Justice?

08-20126 DoJ S-70A. (reference)
Re: Mystery H-60 ID help needed
Wow, thank you! There is something on the tail that I can see in my photo and also the link to a.net... KM41279 or KM1279 maybe? Any thoughts on what that number/ID may be? I remain a little skeptical about the registration given on the A.net photo because of this ID on the tail.
Re: Mystery H-60 ID help needed
Based on what I can find, KM1279 is the aircraft registration and 08-20126 is the airframe 'registration' (c/n 70-224). 126 has been reported before on this MB here.Lockon wrote:Wow, thank you! Again, wow! I'm not sure how Google let me down but I can't thank you enough!
"KM" is a very odd registration for a USA-based aircraft
