Ramstein 15-5

Post by patrick dirksen »

Ramstein AB (15-5)

00-0182 C-17A 167 AW, 167 AS
01-0189 C-17A 164 AW, 155 AS
01-0192 C-17A 105 AW, 137 AS
03-3127 C-17A 62 AW
07-7184 C-17A 437 AW
09-9212 C-17A 437 AW
99-0004 C-32A (89 AW)
92-3284 C-130H 934 AW, 96 AS, departed
92-3286 C-130H 934 AW, 96 AS
04-3142/RS C-130J 86 AW, 37 AS
06-8612 C-130J 19 AW, 61 AS, (former RS machine)
07-4631? C-130J 19 AW, 41 AS, see remark!
07-8609/RS C-130J 86 AW, 37 AS
08-3176 C-130J 317 AG
08-5715 C-130J 317 AG
08-5724 C-130J 317 AG
08-8602/RS C-130J 86 AW, 37 AS, ’86 OG’ mks
(08)-8606 C-130J 19 AW, 41 AS, departed
10-5771 C-130J 19 AW, 41 AS
11-5748 C-130J 317 AG
14-5788 C-130J 19 AW, 61 AS
14-5796 C-130J 19 AW, gn/wh tailband
15-5831/RS C-130J 86 AW, 37 AS
1505 C-130E Polish AF (nice, missed this at Frysian Flag!)

Also present was a grey Gulfstream. The heatwaves (already) made it impossible to read that one off, the serial seemed to end with 74. That doesn’t make sense obviously, possibly this was a based one, but any offers? It was parked next to the C-32, behind the main platform. There was another white aircraft here, possible the based C-40.
Herc 4631 is a problem. I’m sure I read off the fy as (0)7, but 4631 should be fy 06. However there are also 07-46310, 46311 and 46312 (stupid serial batch in my humble opinion…). I find it hard to believe I missed a complete digit at the end, but it was difficult to read off and I never expected the serial to have five digits after the fy anyway. Any thoughts on this one and its correct identity would be very welcome!
Not too many heavy transports, but the amount of non-local Hercs made up for this!
Cheers,

If 74 might be 76 , it could be 01-0076 a based one. Doesn't match the grey color...

I thought you were asking about 07-4631(?) In which case the answer is 07-46311.
which routed through Prestwick on the 10TH may on route to ETAR

THanks for the replies so far guys!

I thought about that serial, but the heatwaves had no effect on the colour ;-)
No, it definately is a grey one.

I had seen that indeed, but like I said I'm sure the fy was 07.

I was! That reply was from another Patrick :-)

All in all I am certain 07-46311 is the most plausible explanation.

Aha, N163PA you mean then, but that could indeed well be the case. Thanks!
