Dear forum friends,
I still own a good slide scanner which is obviously useless without compatible software.
Is anyone here still using the above scanner with a 'modern' Windows version (10)?
I am very much interested in how you got this to work! Still have the good old SCSI card that came with the scanner too!
And approximately 15000 K64 & K25 slides.

Problem is the SCSI-card. I have the same scanner, you can find drivers fot the Scanwit in VueScan, but that's not the real problem. As I said, it's the SCSI. I even bought a special cable: on the one side a SCSI-plug, on the other end USB. I hoped I'd solved the problem but my computer still doesn't find the scanner. The old SCSI-card doesn't fit in my computer. I'm afraid that the only solution is: finding another one that fits.

I kept my old PC (Windows XP), which dates back to Windows 95 days, that allows me to run the Scanwit. I took it off the Internet and have used a USB to transfer images from the old PC to more modern equipment ever since. Perhaps you could try and find an ancient PC from somebody's attic and try to hook up the Scanwit with the SCSI. As Iwan wrote, this is the bottleneck, as is the non-availibilty of a driver for operating systems beyond Windows XP.

I think slide scanner are more useful with compatible software. In my windows 10 pc, it is working very well. Want to know more about this please click Scanner

pulled the scanner out of its original box and have connected it to the notebook computer via a Microtech SCSI-USB cable.
the scanner works fine with VueScan
