Koksijde SAR Meet 11 Oct 2016

The BAF announced that the SAR Meet 2016 will take place at Koksijde in october this year.
They will celebrate the 40 year seaking service and 45 year Alouette III service.

Hi all,

Anyone any idea when and where the flights for the SAR Meet will take place??
According to this message, it will be possible that only 11 and 12 october flights will take place, probably over the beach.

Will the participants use the approach/runway for their landings or will they land midfield?

Any help/info will be more than welcome.

Last time, some took off midfield others @ the begin. All made one or more passes upon returning. @ that time most spectators were near the aeroclub.

' upon returning' & the police pdf says the Astridplein (centre Koksijde at the beach) will be locked off; it is most likely the heli's will perform flypasts/SAR actions at the beach(?).
Do you know if this was the case last time at Koksijde? tx
