Wittmund (ETNT) 2016 MIL
It seems this year, as of the 4th of July, Wittmund will be back as a wing. So JG71 is back .
Newsitem in the Harlingen newspaper: Take a look here (link)
The article states the amount of Eurofighters wil be increased from 10 to 20. Does someone now if these 10 extra Eurofighters are new ones (so fresh from the factory)? Or other units will loose Eurofighters (so a shuffling between units)?

Re: Wittmund (ETNT) 2016 MIL
Hello,
I am planning a visit to Wittmund on our Dutch Kingsday. Can someone tell me how many A-4's are based here? And how are the flying activities here on a normal day (based EF2000 ass well as visitors)?
Best regards,
Coen

Hoi Coen,
Groet Bram

Oké Bram, bedankt voor de info. We zullen zien. Dan is de vrijdag misschien altijd wel een iets mindere dag war dat betreft (?)Bram Krijgsman wrote:Hoi Coen,

Re: Wittmund (ETNT) 2016 MIL
TLwG 31 at Nörvenich has more than 35 Eurofighters in it´s books, so it should be no problem to give Wittmund 20 or so a/c for a new TLwG 71!
Re: Wittmund (ETNT) 2016 MIL
Not correct: C-FGZT/542 has yet to be delivered to Wittmund. It was damaged during a landing incident at Phoenix Gateway on Sep 17, 2015, following a test flight. So there are currently 6 A-4Ns bases at Wittmund (2 flying from Gando right now).CBR wrote:Seven A-4N according to : http://www.globalaviationresource.com/v ... d-germany/camel1 wrote:Can someone tell me how many A-4's are based here?

Is next friday a normal flying day?
I know they don't fly in the afternoon, but will there be a morning-flight?
Geert.

Next friday is no, so called, "bridge-day" (in between a holiday and the weekend), so I would say that next friday should be like any friday.geert wrote:Is next friday a normal flying day?

Nothing special in ETNT NOTAM's, like AD CLSD or something, looks like a normal flying Friday..

Still no trace of this bird since its mishap, unfortunately.
