William Tell excercise Tyndall AFB 70's and 80's
During the seventies and eighties I visited a few William Tell exercices at Tyndal AFB, Fla.
Here some scans from this time period. I hope you like them.

Personally I think that anyone who doesn't like these images should be banned from this forum for not being a true aviation enthousiast...

Looking at these pics I wonder why I continued my hobby after the mid 1990s anyway.

Fantastic.. Thanks for posting! I guess like me at the time you never realized that these days would never come back, that our hobby would change so drastically over the years, in terms of quality but especially quantity. That makes such images of packed flightlines with colourful markings even more special now. What an era!
Rome has Bufalotta, Arizona has alotta BUFF..
Re: William Tell excercise Tyndall AFB 70's and 80's
Sad but true. With ever dropping defense budgets, multi-role aircraft and the rise of the drones those flightlines will only get more empty...

Holy Canoli. . Tasty stuff! I will blame my parents forever that they didn't put me on this world while they were still teenagers....

Re: William Tell excercise Tyndall AFB 70's and 80's
Maybe in those days we had the same thoughts as we have now.
Still remember those "boring" days at Soesterberg, with visiting Phantoms, Buccaneers, and the daily Sherpa.
And those booooooooooring Friendships, Bolkows, Alouettes and so on...
Some F-15's as well.....
So, every time has its own advantages.
By the way, I DO like those pictures...! For sure!

If I look at the other birds in this theatre, this F-15 must have been the winner of the competition!
