According to www.gonavy.jp/CVW15-NL1967.html aircraft F-4B BuNo 150907 was deployed with CVW-15 onboard USS Coral Sea from July 1967 to April 1968. When crosschecking with the scramble database BuNo 150907, I find that the aircraft is logged as an F-8E, and according to http://www.joebaugher.com/navy_serials/ ... ies19.html the aircraft crashed in the Gulf of Tonkin in August 1966.
I'm confused...does anyone knew where the misunderstanding is?

Re: BuNo 150907
Though there are tons of errors on the site of Joe Baugher, the batches are generally correct. So given that the batch 150843/150932 is listed as F-8 (and a few of these still alive), I think you can savely say the Go Navy site is incorrect.

Incidentally, you can find a photo of the F-8 online!

Re: BuNo 150907
According to the Scramble database (search for code NL-110) 150997/NL-110 lost it to a MiG on 19nov67, while with VF151. So small typo at gonavy.jp it seems.
