Re: more
Hi,
Any confirmation welcome of course.
Regards,
Joris
These four are probably 80-0554, 81-0666, 81-0778, and 81-0783. They are no longer on the AMARC inventory list of 17dec07, and coincidentally I saw these four devoid of any markings in the maintenance area of AMARC in mid-October 2007.falcon wrote:Yesterday arrived 4 unidentified F-16's and a KC-10. Hi all! I´m new to the Scramble Messageboard Forums. My real name is Joachim Jacob. I´m a freelance military aviation journalist from Berlin, Germany, born in 1954. Since late 2005, I´m an editor of http://www.f-16.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (specialized in F-16 OEF and OIF deployments). But I´m also interested in other U.S. CENTCOM deployments (especially A-10s, F-15Es and B-1Bs).
falcon does a great job here to document A-10 stopovers at Lajes to and from their deployed locations in the U.S. CENTCOM AOR. And some more related info is added to this topic by other people.
Also, I enjoyed the following website, hot-linked by ehusmann: http://www.azoresairphotos.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for first-hand shots of deployed Warthogs. There are great photos for A-10 aircraft verification!
All of that is very nice! And after checking all current available info, I will comment some of the latest A-10 deployment/redeployment stopovers at Lajes with official USAF info from the "frontlines" in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Questions:
- Are there any Lajes archives for the past years?
- Is there any other people on the Scramble forums who is also interested in OEF/OIF A-10 deployments?
I would be very grateful for any support!
J.J.
