A "razorback B-model Mustang P-51" is quite rare , a "D-model" with a bubble canopy is not....LATEST UPDATE: 29/06/17
•A rare civilian static item is confirmed this week in the shape of an A-4N Skyhawk!
Discovery Air Defence will be supplying an example from its fleet of jets for the static line up on Saturday and Sunday.
Elsewhere confirmations come from a Piaggio R166C, deHavilland Chipmunk and Hawker Hunter from HHA based at RAF Scampton.
•The USAF Heritage Flight is updated with the announcement that P-51B 'Berlin Express' will now be taking part in the display alongside the USAF F-22!
The aircraft is currently on its journey from Texas to the UK! See our Facebook page for a link to track the progress. Previously mentioned P-51D 'Frenesi' will no longer be flying the Heritage Flight.

•The Belgian Air Component confirms an additional static F-16AM Fighting Falcon for static display.
•The RAF adds more weight to the static park with another A400M Atlas C.1 and a second Tornado GR.4.

A daily USAFE Flypast featuring C-130J, KC-135, F-15C, F-15E and F-16C is announced today on the RIAT website.

A Ukrainian news outlet called "Ltava" has posted a news story reporting that a pair of Su-27s and an Il-76MD will be attending RIAT 2017 - including a flying display which has been approved by RAF officials.
We await official confirmation as to whether this report is accurate or not.

B-17 Sally B confirms for the flying display helping to celebrate 70 years of the United States Air Force
Two RNLAF F-16s take up position in the static display and the Army Air Corp's Historic Aircraft Flight Beaver and Scout also join the line-up.
The BAE Systems collection is supplemented by a Gladiator 1 and deHavilland DH-9.

A lot of loose pieces indeed!
It is now rather doubtful whether this "Razorback Mustang" will fly during RIAT Fairford.
