I understand Deelen is used as FARP, is it possible to take good pictures there while the choppers are being refuelled, for example from the Veteranenbos? Or is that too far away or is the view blocked or so?

The previous days, helicopters were parked at the southern taxitrack leading to runway 02. Trees and bushes obscure just about everything, but the choppers can be seen when they arrive, leave or do their hoisting exercise at the beginning of runway 02. Nice views there.

For this, park at the end of the Kemperbergerweg and walk the last km or so till you hit the fence, then follow it left towards the runway.

Veteranenbos is only a very distant view. Also, as fas as I know, no refuelling at Deelen. If they do, they’ll probably use the ‘new’ platform towards the north.

Je kan er prima staan,zandpad naar de bosrand volgen en je bent er.
Hoop dat je een beetje geluk hebt,gisteren is er geen enkele helikopter geland.

Yesterday the helicopters were parked at the dispersals (pushkin MVC De Brik on Google Earth) near the beginning of the old 02 runway, good visible from the Veteranenbos.
