The second landing of a German AF C-130J at Wunstorf happened at 1.8. with 55+02 of the Deutsch-Französische Lufttransportstaffel Rhin/Rhein arrived from Evreux around 9.45h and departed at 11.48h.

Active in the first few days of August were the following LTG 62 A400M:
54+12, 54+13, 54+15, 54+16, 54+23, 54+24, 54+27, 54+30, 54+33 and 54+34.
Today 54+37 and 54+38 departed via Neuburg for their long journey as the first support aircrafts for "Rapid Pacific 2022".
54+24 gained the tanker pods in the last weeks.
In August 2022 54+40 should arrive as new aircraft for the wing.
54+12, 54+13, 54+15, 54+16, 54+23, 54+24, 54+27, 54+30, 54+33 and 54+34.
Today 54+37 and 54+38 departed via Neuburg for their long journey as the first support aircrafts for "Rapid Pacific 2022".

After ten days travelling to and from Darwin/Australia in support of „Rapid Pacific 2022“ (and exercises Pitch Black and Kakadu) A400 LTG 62 54+37 and 54+38 arrived back at Wunstorf in the afternoon of 15.08. It was the first time for German AF A400M flying that far.
Departing for the same destination on 13.08. was 54+14 plus 54+21 and 54+29 (both on 14.08.) all taking off from Neuburg/Donau. All aircraft took slightly different routes to and from Australia.

From the „Rapid Pacific/Pitch Black 2022“ supporting A400M 54+29 will start it’s return flight on 20.08, this time via Guam and the USA.
54+14 and 54+21 already departed on 19.08., the former via Guam and Canada, the latter via French Polynesia and the Caribian Sea.
New 54+40 is planned for a delivery to Wunstorf on 25.08.

The delivery of 54+40 has been postponed to early-September.
54+14, 54+21 and 54+29 were planned for arrivals back from their world tour beginning on 26.08. and later.
54+09 is now in a process bringing it back to flying status. First engines are already fitted.

After departing thirteen days ago from Neuburg LTG 62 A400M 54+14 arrived back at Wunstorf from its first world tour. It flew around the world to and from RAAF Darwin and landed in the evening of 26.08. at 18.25h.

What should be one of the most interesting and active days of the year happened on 01.09. with some nice aircrafts arriving for the annual „Summer Biwak“:

At the end of the week the 39th A400M 54+40 will be delivered to LTG 62.
On this day three A400M will also depart for Australia as support for the returning TLwG 74.

LTG 62 A400M 54+18, 54+37 and 54+29 departed on 16.09. as GAF464, GAF363 and GAF339 respectively for their long journey to Australia.

Via Alaska or Hawaii it seems....
Ground distance from Wunstorf to, e.g. RAAF Pearce is 7478,9 NM.... But with a mean true track of 133 it seems they are not taking the shortest route...
