Quite a lot of dispersed info here. This is what I could find here and elsewhere.
The new Hungarian serial equals the last 3 numbers of its construction number.
331 P DDR358 96+41
332 P DDR361 96+42
334 P DDR415 96+44
335 P DDR422 96+45
336 P DDR439 96+46
338 P DDR444 96+48
711 V
720 V
What about the last 4 which were not yet sent to Russia. Are they still going? Any serials known?

Eventually all 6 P versions which we received in 1995 will be operational again.CBR wrote:Quite a lot of dispersed info here. This is what I could find here and elsewhere.

Dont forget that serial 335 and 336 received hungarian camo and serial in 2004 and flew till 2013! Now operational again
Only V versions are left as options for the final four, all our V Hinds serials since 1985:
711 - returned
712
713
714 - received special painting: Golden Hind
715 - crashed in 2001
716 - received special painting: Tweety II
717
718
719
720 - returned
According to a law the special painted helos cannot be moved from Hungary and that they have to be preserved. So they are in question
The info which can be found is that from the 12 Hind upgrade, the last 4 were optional, the contract says the optional part
can be "done" in 2 years. The signing was done in november 2017, which means till this years november, that could happen.

While on the subject of Mi-24Vs, any idea what happened to the wreckage of 715? This showed up at the collection at Szántód in 2010, but that collection has closed down again unfortunately and the Mi-24 disappeared (just like Mi-2 8913 by the way). I hope it's not scrapped, it's the only Hungarian Hind I still need, but I fear the worst....

It is not possible to visit unless some stuff is outside, but during some local airshows the owner moves some stuff out.
If you saw the movie Spectral (2016) some equipment was used for that movie and can be seen in the early parts of the movie.
Serial 715 was moved to Tököl Aiport around 2012 and later to Kiskunlacháza where it was used as prop for the movies World War Z (2013) and A Good Day to Die Hard (2013)
During the Die Hard movie it was blown up than the wreckage sold as scrap.
Eventually none of the scenes where the 715 was showned used in the final productions in both movies.

https://honvedelem.hu/cikk/45778_ertekt ... likopterek....on the basis of the Hungarian National Values and Hungaricums Act and Government Decree....
Ferenc Szalay, the mayor's announcement that was published in January, was also submitted by the HDF 86. Szolnok Helicopter Base on two topics. One is the Szolnok Air Museum, and the other is the two special painted helicopters....The two combat helicopters have unique paintings. "Golden Hind", serial 714, commemorates the legendary form of the Hungarian legend, the Miracle deer, the national tricolor, and aerial flight. The blades symbolize the cockade during rotation. The 716 serial helicopter patterned as a Saker so typical of Hungary.....The helicopters represented the Hungarian Defense Forces and our country at several national and international airshows, thus commemorating our history and helicopter culture. The 714 helicopter in Japan has a limited serial mockup that is sold worldwide.

If you want to see the new Hinds, I suggest to come to Hungary on the 20th of august. Very possibly an airshow over the river Danube in the morning time and later afternoon at Szolnok city over the Tisza river.patrick dirksen wrote:That confirms the rumours I heard.
