Nice pics again, I remember that the very first trip to Czechoslovakia was on 10/09/1988 when two cars visited the Kbely Airshow, our first meeting with Russian hardware.
Keep going,

I remember from this trip, that just after passing the Czechoslovak border we were sleeping in a parking-lot and in the middle of the night we were woken up by the sound of a terrible carcrash.Trueno wrote:Nice pics again, I remember that the very first trip to Czechoslovakia was on 10/09/1988 when two cars visited the Kbely Airshow, our first meeting with Russian hardware.

For those of you who remember Leo 'Balthasar' Dor(t?)land (big guy from Zeist, 'active' at Soesterberg at least between 1978 and 1981): he was on the '8 uur journaal' this evening as a Flevoland police force spokesman. See http://www.nos.nl/nosjournaal/artikelen ... pagne.html. Geinig.

Re: "spotters archive soesterberg"
Yes Trueno that was the trip with the (in my eyes) giant tropical spider which ran under my bed and hide there
About the first trip to Czechoslovakia, I remember to ''sleep'' (it was horrible cold with my type of sleeping bag) with Trueno in a tent and hearing the crash. We went out of the tent and looked along the road but nothing was seen. Next morning we found nothing. I think others found him by now.....
Regards,
Lesley
