Good morning,

yesterday I spoke someone (not aviation interested) who had read an article in "De Telegraaf" about this event, amongst others stating that the AIVD should have mentioned permission for spotters to take pictures from the "spottersplaats" under the condition that all photographs will be made available to the AIVD. ????
The guy mentioning this, knows too little about this hobby to have made this up by himself. It came up when somenone said to be flying to Spain during that week and I mentioned possible problems.
Not reading that rag newspaper myself, I wonder if any of the Scramble members read this of has heard about this.

Cheers,
Ab Gobets.

Dit is het programma
bron: https://www.nss2014.com/en/nss-2014/programme

According to the Dutch "newspaper" Telegraaf Barack Obama is to sleep at a US Navy ship anchored in the North Sea off the coast of Scheveningen during the summit:

http://www.telegraaf.nl/binnenland/2212 ... zee__.html

Perhaps this could result in additional US Navy aircraft activity :?:

Vladimir Putin may be staying the night(s) at his daughters' home in Voorschoten, but this could be just idle speculation by the press.

Nuclear summit The Hague 2

Post by Freyaollie »

Advise required for this convention.
Thinking of flying into AMS on the morning of the 24th march and flying out later that evening.
Will the spotters terrace be open?
Will the visiting state aircraft be visible?
Will they be able to be photographed?
Or will there be a location to go and get pictures.

Any advise will be appreciated before I book my flight

Thanks in advance
Mark

At the moment nothing is clear. We do not know what roads will be closed near the airport. It will be impossible to completly hide all those aircraft. So a remote view might be possible.
Best chance for photos will be landing I guess. Viewing depends on many factors like wind direction.
As the meeting starts on monday 13:30 I would advise to arrive not that late.
We just have to wait and see.

Hmmm... volgens ATC is ook het luchtruim rond Eindhoven restricted. Wordt daar dan ook iets verwacht?

Additional transport aircrafts, e.g. For the USA or the doomsday plane. I know it is off topic but it could give an explanation why the air space around Eindhoven is restricted too.. doesn't mean though that EIN will see movements related to the summit.

Eindhoven will be used as diversion airport for those aircraft which did not adhere the no fly zone around the Hague. F16's will escort violators to Eindhoven. Also RTM will see the arrival of 5 delegations. More and more info is known.. Expect little or zero tolerance for pictures within short distances. Several roads closed. A5 will be closed.. No acces to cyclepath along 18r . Also the vijfhuizerweg along the taxiway is closed and a no go zone...

Deplaning at P6 and P7 and straight on to the a4... Thereafter aircraft proceed to the parking area

P5 = holding area directly west of the beginning on runway 36C
P6 = holding area at de-icing area on taxiway linking Center to Polderbaan located north of the Joodse begraafplaats/south of tower west
Correct?
