Re: Cambrai- Tigermeet 2011 overview
Thanks Eric - appalling recognition on my front, but pleased that I saw them as I missed them at Cambrai!
Just for additional, as I routed bac to the UK I also stopped off at a few fields to note the odd relic in addition to the Cambrai airfield;
Lille-Lesquin: OO-IAK Nanchang (presuming mil bckground) in hangar - managed to get a look in..
Albert-Picarde: F-AZSK SV4
Amiens-Glissy: F-BCPK Cub (wears 13147), a few more warbirds here but all closed up when I visited)
Abbeville: 287/8-NM Mystere 4 (pole mounted)
Le Touqet: F-ZBPL EC145 Securite Civil
Rgds
Warren.

N 50 13 10.10, E 3 09 14.03 from this point , along this taxiway and for a length of 600 meters to the right. This is the only spot the spotters can go. And from this GPS location you can see the flightline.
Not all aircraft are parked here; the Mi-24's the AB412's the Tornado's , the Saab 105's, the Tigre, the Gazelle, and the Cougar are (almost) out of sight.
Regards,
Kier

i've read mirage 2K 103-LL with tail# 86
Hey Paul,Hi,
Today four Mirages were seen in the maintenance hangar near the parking area for the spottersday. One of them was probably 103-LL which was towed from this area early in the morning and returning to the hangar area later on.
Did somebody read off the other three aircraft?
TIA!
Paul

Yes this was the one that was towed in the morning. It is probably one of the four aircraft inside the hangar around 3PM.
Hopefully somebody got the other three.
Greetings, Paul

That was also when the Patrouille de France AND the two Spanish Mirages landed.

Thanks!

PNY501 departed Cologne at 10.53 LCL, overflying Cambrai at 11.56 LCL and landed at LFRJ at 13.51 LCL. Serial was confirmed at Cologne as 1118.

The Securite Civile has left Lille Lesquin last year, they went to Le Touquet.erik_kamphuis wrote: On the route to Cambrai early morning we made a stop at Lille-Lesquin, that is next to the highway, to check out the Securite Civile helo. There were plans that a Gendarmerie chopper would be based in the hangar at Lille Lesquin,
but I don't think that is going to happen.
