Both Futenma and Iwakuni are due to receive their UC-12W imminently,so it may be a New Orleans crew doing the delivery flight.UC-12W training is done at Belle Chase(the official name for New Orleans). The crew may take the replaced UC-12F back to the States.AK01 wrote:Sources in the East-coast USA noted this at the 10th in transit.Le Addeur noir wrote:Here on the 11th December was United States Marine Corps UC-12W 168206 heading eastbound.
Anyone able to confirm the callsign and where it departed to from here?.
2 more UC-12W due ifor delivery n the next few months and they may well transit here.Their final destination is either Futenma or Iwakuni in Japan.
They claim c/s was Easy06, and this is a New Orleans UC12, so not a transit to Japan.
As this wasn't noted anywhere over Europe after Shannon i guess it's either still there, or (unlikely)returned westbound again..
Pieter,
If this airplane was noted on the 10th over the US East Coast, the possibility of it returning westbound from Shannon has to be very remote.
The first UC-12W is due to be delivered to the Far East in December.
Time will tell.........
