Apparently they were. AFAIK (judging by lights and burners) they are up now for the second time since the lights went out.Stefan wrote:The Mirage 2000s flew a mission from 14.00 lt. Do not know if they are scheduled for tonight's mission as well.
IF they stay until Wednesday and IF they do this again tomorrow evening there is an extra opportunity to see them without taking a day off.
Mind the 'IF'-s above, this is pure speculation.
Greetings,
Stefan

I think that there is a slight sense of sarcasm in Stefan's "Superbase"...Paul wrote:Hi Stefan,Stefan wrote:Hi,

Is it me, or did I saw you saying something differant earlyer this year about 'our' Base
Regards, Paul.
In the past it would be very strange if we could double the number of foreign visitors of an entire year in just one week!
Yep, a little sarcasm, combined with my well-known ability to change to mind (flexibility is my middle name ).Paul van der Linden wrote:I think that there is a slight sense of sarcasm in Stefan's "Superbase"...Paul wrote:Hi Stefan,Stefan wrote:Hi,

Forgot to add my smileys again! Don’t think that foreign visitors ever participated in night flying activities at Volkel before.ebauer wrote:Finally, some really interesting visitors at Volkel...So this can't be boring!Stefan wrote: It is getting boring but they just took off again (21.05 lt).

The C-17 left at 11.54 lt.Flanker27 wrote:The C-17 left today around 11.30. Also the Alphajet and French Mirages left in the afternoon and made a flyby over the 313 sqn part of the field. There was a ground abort of an F-16 because of NWS (nosewheel steering) failure. Pics soon in photoforum.
U-06 Fokker 50 334sq made one pass at 16.30 lt
…. Beech 200? Made two passes just before 17.00 lt (could have been a Flight Inspection one, not 100%)
