Anyone knows what the reason is for that?aviodromefriend wrote:No, the team was there, but they used other aircraft. (Like last year to)bavaria wrote:Didn't the J-055 show up at Kecskemét?

Many thanks for this excellent report - it has certainly cleared up a few of my questions.Hilco wrote:Hi everyone,
I'll kick off with a full report from saturday of this splendid air show! Any additions and corrections are very welcome!
Cheers, Hilco
Firstly, I thought the show was excellent - the best I've been to in a long time - plenty of variety and constant action.... and the sun came out most of the day.
A few questions off the top of my head:-
I ran out of time to get round the static before I got thrown out. I've cleared up most of my queries from Hilco's list but I've listed an A109 in the static - in addition to the flying one near the "Wings of Storm". There was also an R-44 with covers on nearby - any offers for these two?
I was in the hangar area on Saturday during the flypast, so missed some of the action. On Sunday, I watched from my hotel - there was a formation of 3 Yak-52's in the flypast. Were these in the flypast on Saturday? Does anyone have IDs?
Re the paradropping MI-8s - An MI-8 has 10 seats but they dropped 10 each at low level (round chutes) plus 10 more with rectangular chutes at high level a few minutes later. Did they land briefly to pick up or were there actually 4 MI-8s involved in the drop?
Thanks in advance.

These were the main raeson of my visit this year, as I missed them during last years show.....
Pretty disappointing.....
The rest of the show was great!!! More fighter demo's than the last three KLU opendays!
Best regards, Rob.

I can only comment on the Saturday: No, they did NOT land to pick up new para's and no, there were only two Mi8's involved. After the first drop they started climbing, turned south and returned overhead the field for the second drop. They were in my view all the time. So the paras must have been standing (or sat on each other's lap )PIK Flyer wrote: Re the paradropping MI-8s - An MI-8 has 10 seats but they dropped 10 each at low level (round chutes) plus 10 more with rectangular chutes at high level a few minutes later. It's a SOKO Orao of the Serbian Air Force. You never know with politics, but it just might be somewhat difficult given the (political) relations between the Netherlands and Serbia... something with the past...topgun1984 wrote:i was wondering what that Black/white plane is on the Picture forum... with that hawk mouth...
It has some jaguar characteristics ... but i know it's not one .... Maybe something for Volkel Next year?

I am interested in another perspective on the Mig29 storage: can anybody tell me what Mig29's were visible from the gate to the flightline on the left side of the static? The only one that could be read off from there was 03, but there were several others visible standing next to it. Anyone? Any help appreciated!

Yes, thats the list I've got but I've also got 22 on my scribbled notes so it must have been there. I didnt have time to write down the locations but I've noted it under 20 so it must have been around there.Iroquois wrote:

I walked all the way along to the C-17, not realising that the apron was open - I was amazed to see the line of Gripens along there. On the way back I caught the Kiddie road-train which left the apron airside and drove along the front of the stored MIG-29s. I was furiously trying to take photos and scribble a list at the same time.
