Re: Lajes (Azores) LPLA/TER - 2018 MIL
In the FPL body of FAF4041, FAF4043 is also mentioned which would make 3, however nothing comes up when searching for that ARCID on its own.Mr.Herkybird wrote:Expected at Lajes tomorrow at 1107z and 1137z FAF4041, 4042, each flight consists of 1 KC135 and 4 Navy Rafales.

A319 1501 is also due in at 1359z from LIS as GAF858 and C130 890165 is due in at 1304z from Rota as RCH1006.
B744 N744CK departed a short while ago to Niamey as CMB528.

Re: Lajes (Azores) LPLA/TER - 2018 MIL
Adding to above : FAF4043 now filed properly, a 3rd KC135 as I thought (due 1157z).
"RMK 1 CELL OF 1K35R AND 04RFAL FXGDJ FXGDL FXGDN FXGDP VIA APPROUVED ALTR V FROM QPR TO LPLA TCAS EQUIPED MARSA WITH CELL FAF4041 AND CELL FAF4042 DIC PORTUGAL FR08OP PPR LPLA K35R LAS1800457 04RFL LAS1800460"
So looks like 12x Rafale's in total then.
Also the French Navy are sending a FA50 through at 1115/tba from Lorient to Boston as FNY5016.

April 4th: One of the French Rafales is operating as 'FNY5189'. Tanker FAF4042 (ADS-B: 470) just landed. RCH1006 is also on approach.

2nd tanker on approach is FAF4043 (ADS-B: 735). If all the chicks are accounted for, the Falcon 50 will come in for landing. André will likely confirm the numbers.Bennie wrote:April 4th: One of the French Rafales is operating as 'FNY5189'. Tanker FAF4042 just landed. RCH1006 is also on approach.

Re: Lajes (Azores) LPLA/TER - 2018 MIL
You might well be correct but that's not how I interpret it. The regos listed in the rmks for 4042 and 4043 are all different, so there are 8 Rafale's there just for those 2 tankers and the FPL for 4041 mentions 4 Rafale's too (sans regos) so I conclude that's 12 in total. FAF4043 is a real FPL as the ops log times put it about 25 mins behind 4042.Bennie wrote:I make it 4 Rafales in 2 cells: Cell 1 FAF4041 & Cell 2 FAF4042..c32tracker wrote:Adding to above : FAF4043 now filed properly, a 3rd KC135 as I thought (due 1157z).

I'm sure Andre will update us in due course.

4043 is the 3rd one.Bennie wrote:2nd tanker on approach is FAF4043 (ADS-B: 735). If all the chicks are accounted for, the Falcon 50 will come in for landing. 4041 arr 1131z - F-UKCF I think - but FPL shows REG/FUKCE!
4042 arr 1223z - F-UKCA acc FPL
4043 arr 1249z - F-UKCL acc FPL but may be wrong if 735 on mode-s as that's F-UKCG.
Edit : it may well be they went out of sequence after AAR. The FPL op log for position updates etc stops updating when they leave Lisboa FIR so the landing times will be based on their last known track and position which is something I overlooked.

He's diverted. I wondered why it was several hours early! Was due to stop at Lisboa but descended to 13,000ft on the approach then turned due west to Lajes and climbed back up to cruise.Bennie wrote:GAF848 inbound for landing now (ADS-B: 15+01 A319)
Due out to Prestwick tomorrow at 1100z.
