Some recent activity ('stole' some of the serials from the SGV MB):

Wednesday 9 July 2008:

43+20 Tornado IDS JBG31 one pass at 10.51 lt

Thursday 10 July 2008:

43+92 Tornado IDS JBG31 one pass at 10.35 lt
(71+19) UH-1D one pass at 12.55 lt
L-10 PC-7 131(EMVO)sq one pass at 12.13 lt
L-.. PC-7 131(EMVO)sq one pass at 14.38 lt

J-270 flew this afternoon, made quite a number of passes (a future Jordanian a/c).

Now passing Molenhoek inbound EHVK is a C-17A, 62AW. sorry no reg. at the moment.

..... Lynx AAC crossed the field at 16.58 lt

LYNX was the ZG-919, callsign 'AAC125'

After refuel at EHWO, they wanted to overfly EHGR and EHVK

Volkel has become a real pathetic excuse for an air force base... This must be the worst air base within the Netherlands and all surrounding countries, as far as visiting aircraft go. AFAIK the only jet-ish like aircraft that landed here this year was a French Alpha Jet...

I vote for closing down Volkel once the 36 or so JSFs are delivered in the future, not Leeuwarden.

2 x A109 (Belgian I assume) crossed the field south to north, changing heading to northwest after passing the field at 08.44 lt

I did see a E-3 come over Uden, but this was around 16.15lt.
And it was at approx. 3000ft so not really inbound Volkel if you ask me.
