Re: Coleman Barracks (ETOR) - 2010 MIL
Hi Thomas,
How many UH-60's were on the main apron today?
Normally all resident helicopters can be seen form the west and north side of the base.

Re: Coleman Barracks (ETOR) - 2010 MIL
yesterday 14 x UH-60 parked on the main apron, think three based helicopters (one with radar nose). Nothing identified due to head haze.
arr. was Cessna 152 N93637 from Coleman Aero Club and in front of a building was the cabin from a UH-1 without tailboom.

Re: Coleman Barracks (ETOR) - 2010 MIL
Hi again !
After I passed Coleman in the morning, I make a stopover again on my way back home.
At around 18:30LT there were 9 maybe 10 UH-60's parked on the Main Ramp. It seems that 8 of them looks alike, means they wear a white sqare on the nose, and all had the very same Engine Covers. 1 UH-60 has big Fueltanks mounted. Maybe a Local one? I checked the Ramp from the North side, but I could not confirm any serials, because my Telescope is not strong enough and the light Rain . They dont carry the last 3 in white. Also no MedEvac Markings Visible. Possibly the 8 are the Iowa ARNG examples. Go and try your luck at the weekend .
Good Luck
Thomas

Look like the Kentuky UH-60's are back from KFOR 12. See also the thread at http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=55912
Btw: 722 was seen in Kosovo on the 13th of July and the full serial was identified from the high-res image http://www.dvidshub.net/?script=images/ ... fid=299437 as o-23722 (722 in white).

They have left a little while ago. Now at ETOR are the Kentucky NG UH-60's, and a whole bunch of AH-64D's.

So Thomas, you can confirm the Kentucky ones are still at Coleman this weekend. Could you tell me the number of aircraft at the place? Any signs of them being ready for loading on a ship?Thomas266 wrote:They have left a little while ago. Now at ETOR are the Kentucky NG UH-60's, and a whole bunch of AH-64D's.

I would also be interested if you were able to ID any of the AH-64's. Last week(s) a number of new AH-64 were deliverd for USArmy Europe through Ramstein.

Re: Coleman Barracks (ETOR) - 2010 MIL
Good Morning Jeroen !
I have visited Coleman Bks. twice now, namely on Thursday the 22.07. and Yesterday.
I want to post a bit yesterday, but i was a bit tired, and i had to get up early this morning.
On Thursday I noted 10 UH-60's of the KY ARNG on the North Side, as well as 7 AH-64D's and another 5 UH-60's on the Main Ramp. Yesterday all eleven Kentucky's were parked on the Northern Helipad's, and are easy to confirm. They are as follows:
25.07.2010:
85-24438 UH-60A B/2-147 AVN
86-24539 UH-60A Det.2 C/1-169 AVN
86-24541 UH-60A Det.2 C/1-169 AVN
86-24547 UH-60A Det.2 C/2-169 AVN
89-26156 UH-60A B/2-147 AVN
00-26850 UH-60L B/2-147 AVN
00-26851 UH-60L B/2-147 AVN
00-26862 UH-60L B/2-147 AVN
00-26866 UH-60L B/2-147 AVN
01-26879 UH-60L B/2-147 AVN
01-26880 UH-60L B/2-147 AVN
Please dont fix me on the Units, I took them out of the MASR Book !
With the AH-64D's starts the problems now. What else ?
Of the 7 examples on the Main Ramp and 1 in the Big Hangar, not one could be read off clearly. But 05-07005, 05-07006, 07-05516 have been present on Thursday.
Yesterday I have seen 6 AH-64's outside. Clearly confirmed from the North-West side was 05-07005, and 04-05462. The 462 was one of 4 which have been departed ETAR on Friday. The others remain unconfirmed. Should be now 8+4=12 Apaches delivered so far. Most propably from 1-10 AVN out of Ft.Drum, NY. Also noted yesterday was a Med Co UH-60A, but misread as 26041. This one is not in Europe anymore. At what time the Kentucky's will be shipped, I cant say, but it seems it is time to say Goodbye very soon. During this week, my oppinion .I hope this helps you a little bit.
BR
Thomas
BTW: It is also possible that they will be transferred to CONUS by Aircargo !

04-05462 was indeed not on sunday in RS but departed the day before with 3 others.
Nice to see a AH-64 with sharkmouth in RS.
