Japan Airlines International (JL) announced that it will cut 45 routes by the end of September as part of a radical shakeup intended to return it to profitability and sustainability. International capacity is being cut by 40.0% and domestic by 30.0%, translating into 86 weekly international and 58 daily domestic roundtrips. Among the destinations it will drop altogether as it axes 15 international routes are Amsterdam, Milan, Rome, Sao Paolo, Brisbane, Denpasar and Kona. It also will terminate 30 domestic routes. Along with the route terminations, its B747-400 and A300-600 fleets will be grounded. Part of the restructuring will include greatly expanding the use of Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) for international flights with a focus on pivotal routes that can yield higher business demand. New HND routes will include daily flights to San Francisco, Honolulu, Bangkok and Paris CDG. JL also will expand HND flights to destinations in Asia. (Just4airlines, April28th / ATW, April29th 2010).

JA402J is al weg in long maintenance (staat in XMN)

JA8902 is in VCV nu
JA8906 ook al stored
JA8909 vliegt nog af en toe
JA8911 is nog vliegende (USA routes, o.a. LAX)

Eric
