Not surprisingly, the Luftwaffe F-35s will be based at Buchel, as was officially announced yesterday.

The German Bundestag gave way to purchase another three P-8A Poseidon for the Marine. MFG 3 will now get eight Poseidon as a stop-gap measure until the MAWS from Airbus will arrive. The first P-8 will arrive in late-2024 and with eight new ASW aircrafts MFG 3 will actually have more then twice the strength of the current P-3C CUP fleet, as at any given time no more then three are available.

The P-8A should be used for 10 years only and the first will arrive in late-2024/early-2025. Time will tell, if the MAWS could promise an in-service-date of 2034/35.

The 62 H145M will be distributed as follows:

5 for THRgt 10 at Faßberg
5 for THRgt 30 at Niederstetten

These will be for continuation traning and to release the NH90 fleet.

23 are planned for IntHubAusbZ at Bückeburg. These will be for basic flying traning.

24 for KHRgt 36 at Fritzlar as LKH (Leichte Kampfhubschrauber)
5 for HSG 64 at Laupheim as SOF/LKH (Special Operations Force)

The first helicopters will delivered to Bückeburg in late-2024 and so the civilian leased Helis will be reduced in the future.
