I have done some recon today. From outside the show area you will have zero chance to shoot the show. All roads around are closed of.
When looking at the map, the following roads are closed:
N224 between De Klomp and Industrial area Kievitsmeent
Kade between N224 and Binnenweg
The cycling path from Kievitsmeent to Kade
Griftweg and Dokter Hoolboomweg are completely off limits
Rondweg De Klomp between the A12 and the train station De Klomp in total
See you will to pay 20 euro entry fee + 5 or 10 euro for bus/parking to face the sun the whole day.
Good luck, but I ain't going. Just a complete rip off.

It is quite unique what they have gathered in terms of planes, i agree it's a little expensive, but these are normal event prices. Being mad that they closed roads so people can't take advantage of their show is kind of weird to me tho.

Totally agree, if the offered programm is considered to be to expensive (or whatsoever) for people, simply don't come and stop complaining.

Have heard rumors that big airplanes like the B17 and C47 flies from Eindhoven as the grass runway is too short.Michel wrote:B17 (Sally B) will only fly, and not land according their own website.stealth wrote:Will the big airplane (like B17, C47) for this airshow land on the temporary airfield at Ede or will they fly from a other airfield? And will they all arrive on friday or saturday?

if you want to come, you have to go on the airfield, facing sun the whole day.

They had about the same lineup previous time, but only for €4.50. The show was completely sold out 1 week prior to the show. So a 400% increase to the costs.Veenoord wrote:Marcovh wrote:I have done some recon today. From outside the show area you will have zero chance to shoot the show. All roads around are closed of.

Local rumours already are telling that this will be the last time for the show due to cash flow issues of this show.

Maybe this show will not sell out. Giving them opportunity for a last-minute sales, with reduced prices?

4,50 seems ridiculously cheap to me, i agree that the dramatic rise in entry cost is a little too much, but these are prices you will be seeing a lot more of. They have a nearly unique product and people are willing to spend money on it, thats just how the free market works. I didn't make it to RIAT or duxford this year so i think ill enjoy this little show close to home.Marcovh wrote:They had about the same lineup previous time, but only for €4.50. Correct. Four-and-a-half euros is a price you would have seen at a heavily sponsored French Air Force open day 15 years ago.Veenoord wrote: 4,50 seems ridiculously cheap to me, i agree that the dramatic rise in entry cost is a little too much, but these are prices you will be seeing a lot more of.
Twenty euros is what you would pay at Oostwold, and Texel is also in that league.
The Fly-In at Schaffen-Diest this year was twelve euros "on the gate", ten euros in advance.

Ben zojuist wezen kijken.
Ben wel benieuwd geworden, donderdag of vrijdag eens even gaan kijken denk k

Driving from Ede to Utrecht this afternoon and saw a flatbed transporter with the Bf-109 Buchon on it heading towards De Klomp. Obviously wings detached
Re: Wings of Freedom Ede NL 24 August 2019
Bf109 looks like the seppe Bf109, original Bf109 no bouchon.

20 piek is niet zo'n probleem, tegenlicht wel.
Waarom laat zo'n show de kisten niet in een lus taxiën aan een kant van het veld. Fotografen blij, maar ook leuk voor het algemene publiek.
