Another two Mi-24P - serials 358 and 361 - were transported to Kecskemét. Both helicopters still have their DDR camo and DDR insignia and flew maybe 25 years ago.

These are the old serials of the NVA. I guess that they will return as 331 (358) and 332 (361).
Hungarian Mi-24 serails are construction number based.
Great to see those old NVA Mi-24P's back in the air.

Yesterday two Mi-24P with serials 415 and 444 were transferd to Kecskemét Air Base, previuosly two more were moved as well, numbers: 358 and 361
All Mi-24P still have their DDR camo and serials, they never flew in Hungary since their arrival in 1995

422 - 96+45 - received hungarian serial 335

96+45 and 96+46 left Hungary on the 22th of november, the rest will follow this week.

If anybody interested, the rest of the 4 Hind will not travel to Russia this year, rumors has it it will happen next january, worst case scenario, it will never happen.

It is in hungarian, but during a new book presentation - book title: Hungarian marked Mi-24's - Brigadier General József Koller told the audience that the Hind helicopters will have some upgrade and will be painted in dark colour. He said black more precisely.

The hungarian HIND's will receive NVG capability. The offical site of the 22. Základna Vrtulníkového Letectva (22.zL) confirmed this, after a visit from the hungarian helicopter unit commander at Náměšť nad Oslavou on the 15th of january.

Eight Hungarian Air Force (HuAF) Mi-24V and Mi-24P gunships delivered to the 419th Aircraft Repair Plant (419 ARZ), a subsidiary of Rostec’s Russian Helicopters, will be overhauled, modernised, and have night vision googles (NVG) integrated, it has been announced.

The work will be conducted by JSC 419 ARZ, JSC Moscow Helicopter Plant Mil, and JSC NPO Geofizika-NV under a contract signed by Russian Helicopters and the HuAF, a Russian defence industry source told Jane’s .

All eight helicopters have been disassembled and their Klimov TV3-117V turboshaft engines have been delivered to JSC ODK-Klimov, a subsidiary of Rostec’s United Engine Corporation, for repair and extension of their service life.

Only 8 went to Russia, the rest - 12 were planed - is still here in Hungary, and might not go to Russia.
