Without checking, I think you will find some of the recent " helicopter ships" built recently for the JMSDF are more than capable of operating F-35s. There has been quite a bit of discussion and speculation on some military sites for a few years pointing to a JMSDF F-35 procurement programme emerging in the future in light of the delivery of these ships.

It would appear the speculation and thoeries in this instance are correct.

F-35A: 44 + 3
F-35B 9 + 6
F-35C: 2 + 4.

the Aid package probably (but I cannot be 100% sure now) will be FY16

F-35A 3
F-35B 6
F-35C 4
Still don't know where these jets are. Is this the first one of the Congressional aid package and will serials jump to 18-xxxx very soon now? Time will tell.

I am confident this is the first of the 3 aid package F-35As added to LRIP-10 in Nov 2016 (together with the 6 Bees and 4 C's). They were added to the program in a very late stage, therefore they are on the very end of the LRIP-10 production line.
I expected them to have FY16, but apparently paperwork was only finished just after FY16 was closed, hence the FY17. Most probably LRIP-11 will also have FY17, I think that LRIP-11 was finalized in FY17 (but not 100% sure).
See also LRIP 9 and 10: both have FY 15, because the LRIP 9 negotiations took ages.

The F-35 was cleared earlier today to start formal IOT&E phase later this month.
It begins 16 months later than the 2012 version of the F-35 schedule envisioned.
IOT&E validation is needed to approve full-rate production next year.

What's the price tag on the F-35 variants these days? I guess prices per unit ranging from $70 million to $150 million (the lower being for the F-35A, the higher tag went without a mention of the variant) according to how much the writer of the articles likes Lockheed Martin.

I mean, it's ridiculously expensive in any way ($70 million will feed a large family for their entire lifetime even in expensive places like NYC or Paris, will buy you a ridiculously lavish flat in said New York, or will fund a blockbuster game or movie), but which 5th gen fighter doesn't cost pharaonic amounts of money these days? Hell, even some 4th gen ones are breaking that limit (looking at you, Rafale! And you wonder why our country can't sell you!)

And your point is...? You already gave your own answer, no-one will tell what the price is they negotiated compared to the initial offer, further: it depends on the support package one negotiated with it.
