W&R/Preserved photo thread
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Went to Beograd during my holidays this summer, and passed by the air force museum at the international airport. Due to limited time I haven't been able to actually visit the museum, so only a stop and go was performed
Although I don't do wrecks and relics I figured this might be interesting for some of you.
A few from the museum
A huge one, stored, but looking pretty operational from a distance. Location is Zagreb-Lucko, just before I was send away.
As a bonus: neither wrecks, nor relics but interesting enough to show, Zagreb-Pleso.

We still have a (relatively good looking) Neptune in Curacao?
SP-2H Neptune 203/H ex Kon.Marine. Photo taken from outside on the eastern part of the airfield at the dump of Curaçao-Hato airfield. 03-06-2006.
What´s it still doing there? Ship it back and restore it!
I always say a boy can learn more at an airport than at any school.

Seifertshofen
The condition of the collection in Seifertshofen is very bad.
I will give two examples. Both pictures were taken this summer.
This UH-34J is our former 143 ex Kon.Marine.
And the worst Voodoo in this thread:

Parco Thematico della Aviazione de Rimini:
(there was also a DC-3 fuselage rotting away but on that moment it was out of sight, dont have a picture of it)
(The cockpit inside looked much worse though, stuff that got wrecked out of it, allot of dirt, and a nasty smell with a door thats always opened.)
Old Mig-27
But the museum didnt only had wrecks but also nice relics:

During my christmas holidays I visited Finland en took the chance to have a look at the aircraft museum at Helsinki-Vantaa. Inside aircraft are parked way too close together. Unfortunately only a few military planes can be found. Of three aircraft outside I shot only two as the other MiG-21 was under a cover. There should be a third example in storage.
