Isn't there Portugese AF F-16s which I see on the background, on the left on the last piscture ?

Imho, this looks more like a wheels-up landing as the whole of the aircraft appears to be on its belly. Or was this a result, rather than cause, of the landing?

FAP has semi-permanent detachments at PortoSanto to guard de Madeira archipelago. There are also some shelters there. This is because there is more room and less civil traffic there than at Funchal.
