A Swiss F-5 just crashed in the area of Melchsee-Frutt, according to the Swiss authorities. Pilot used its bang seat and is OK.

Looks like a Patrouille Suisse Tiger

Intriguing pictures of the crash sequence on that Swiss website... It definitely was a Tiger in the colours of the Patrouille Suisse, reported to be J-3089 on Scramble news. But, given the fire seen in the pictures of the aircraft in the air, it is remarkable to see in the post-crash picture of the Swiss Ministry of Defence that the aircraft was not completely destroyed. That says something about the power of snow...

That picture was not there yet in the morning, but we can now safely say the serial is confirmed beyond a doubt
