The German Defence Forces are looking for the purchase of at least 60 H145M helicopters for a variety of missions, including training and light attack. The HEER (German Army) alone has a requirement for 48 H145Ms; the Luftwaffe (GAF, German Air Force) and the German Navy need around 16 H145Ms between them.

That’s known for a while indeed. But a requirement is not an order yet.

There was talk about a corona support package for Airbus last year, in which 4 H145M would be ordered.

Hello everybody,

the intention to purchase 60 multi-purpose helicopters has not yet been decided. The Federal audit office has an critical eye on the plan to compensate for missing flight hours among the crews of other helicopter types such as the Tiger or the NH90. So far, it has not been guaranteed that the purchase of multi-purpose helicopters will usefully and economically close the training gap on NH90/ TIGR. For this reason, the order of 60 helicopters has not yet been finally confirmed. Furthermore, the helicopters will not be delivered before 2024.

According to my latest information, the 4 additional H145M are from the lot of the SAR helos and should be added to the THR30 and the WTD61: D-HBTJ (20342), D-HBTA (20327), D-HADV (20350), D-HADM (?) 77+08 to 11. The D-HADB will be added to the Air Force as 76+16.

H145M 77+08 was pictured today at Manching, same colors as the 77+01/77+07, but without the orange doors. So it’s not one of the camo-colored H145M’s seen before at Donauworth. Photo at Flugzeugforum

that is a strong indiction that 77+08 is in fact c/n 20360 and is the fifth heli for German Army. Seems that I have completely missed that one while being tested at Donauwoerth...
For the other four in camo colours the c/n s and testregs are known. We have to wait and see what their military serials will be (probably 77+09/77+12)

But maybe the 77+09/11 will get the same colors as the 77+01/08? As they are bought for the same purpose/contract. And the camouflaged and grey ones already seen at Donauworth might be for another unknown German contract?
Just speculations, I know...

Yesterday 3 Romanian Smurd H135s have been delivered.
Visible on pictures are YR-MVL on a sticker, and serials 336 and 338, (third 337??)
Can anybody confirm that those three are D-HCBX, D-HECH and D-HCBD and the third serial?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi all,
noted at Ingolstadt-Manching for crewtraining were D-HCBD and D-HCBX (confirmed visually last week and this week), so I think the ones that were delivered are other ones.
Furthermore I saw a picture of one EC135 wearing serial 333 (still unmasked and without testreg when it was towed from the production area to the flight test hangar).
I think 333 will be either HCBD or HCBX (probably HCBD).
More likely candidates for delivery are D-HECH, D-HECJ and D-HECN (maybe also another one that I did not see at Donauwoerth).

Shame on me - I wanted to visit Donauwoerth yesterday but had to cancel it at last moment due to work commitments...

(77+0.) BK.117D2 Heer/SAR. This must be either 77+06 or 77+07. It lost its test reg (HADF or HADL) and the germa serial was still overtaped. But obviously very soon to be delivered.
79+15 NH.90TTH Heer/THR30. Towed from E7 into F8. Undergoing deep maintenance and partly stripped of several parts.
79+29 NH.90TTH Heer/IHAZ. In&out of F8
84+52 CH-53GS Lw/HSG64 towed from one position in E7 to another
84+66 CH-53GS Lw/HSG64 inside hangar E7
84+67 CH-53GS Lw/HSG64 towed outside of E7 for short engine test
85+01 CH-53GA Lw/HSG64 (inside hangar F8)
[D-HADJ] BK.117D3 primer (c/n 21004). Production flight as "Redfox 10"
[D-HADK] BK.117D3 red/bk c/s. Towed from D10/4 into C9/1. the future reg was overtaped and difficult to read but it should be C-GWRI or GWRL. The colours would also match for a canadian rescue helicopter.
[D-HADN] BK.117D2m FA Ecuatoriana. Production flight as "Redfox 12". The sticker is now on a new position, so that 1/3 of the serial is visible. So FAE-1253 is confirmed for this one. (c/n 20355)
[D-HADR] BK.117D3 primer (c/n 21012)
D-HADW BK.117D2 Airbus. The second prototype was outside for some tests. (c/n 20002)
[D-HBKA] BK.117D3 Deutsche Rettungsflugwacht (DRF). Noted in the back of the hangar, still incomplete. there was a engine cover lying beside where the overtaped future reg "D-HXFB" was just readable
[D-HBTB] BK.117D3 white/red colours. Another new D3 version was towed outside. No idea on c/n or operator but the colours looked quite nice.
[D-HCBB] EC.135.3H all white. Inside hangar (c/n 2097)
[D-HCBO] EC.135T3H RThaiAF engine test (c/n 2130)
[D-HCBS] BK.117D2m Airbus local flight as "Redfox 6". (c/n 20259)
[D-HECC] EC.135T3H RThaiAF production flight as "Redfox 15" (c/n 2126)
[D-HECO] EC.135T3H SMURD first flight as "Redfox 5". Yet another SMURD is ready (No.6) c/n is 2145 for this one.
D-HTSC EC.135T3 Airbus local flight as "Redfox 25"
Finally there was a unmarked EC.135 towed outside of the paint shop. But it had the two-tone blue colours of the japanese police.
An unidentified camouflaged Heer BK.117D2m was visible in the back of the hangar.

76+16 BK.117D2m Lw. The strange helicopter for the Luftwaffe for which no official order has been placed was also oviously handed over. Is now totally unmasked with serial, German cross and titles. (Ex D-HADB/c/n 20359)
77+06 BK.117D2 Heer/THR30. Finally they have been delivered! Departed to Niederstetten as "Joker 06". I guess the other one (77+07) is also delivered by now. Delivery for the 7 SAR units of the initial order for the German Army is then completed.
84+38 CH-53G Lw/HSG64 maintenance visitor. Outside on the ramp for engine test
85+05 CH-53GS Lw/HSG64 maintenance visitor. Outside on the ramp for engine test
[D-HADE] BK.117D2m FA Ecuatoriana inside hangar C9 and looking ready for handover. There were a lot of transport boxes with c/n 20356/20357 and 20358 around them
[D-HADP] BK.117D2m FA Ecuatoriana (=FAE-1254/c/n 20356) inside hangar C9 (see D-HADE)
[D-HBKG] BK.117D2m FA Ecuatoriana (=FAE-1256/c/n 20358). Ex D-HCBW. To my complete surprise the third Ecuadorian heli in hangar C9 received another testreg.
[D-HADH] / 20 BK.117D2m Hung. AF was outside for 2 minutes when 76+16 was pulled out of the hangar
[D-HADK] BK.117D3 STARS Air Ambulance. Performed a production flight as "Redfox 25". This time the overtaped registration was better to read and it looked like C-GWRC. The c/n was reported as 21006. This needs to be confirmed because this helicopter was reported with c/n 21007 in the listing of aeroboek.nl. I have to check this one again. Actually I hve no tie-up for both 21006 and 21007 so far.
[D-HADU] / 19 BK.117D2m Hung. AF was outside for 2 minutes when 76+16 was pulled out of the hangar
D-HADW BK.117D2 Airbus local flight as "Redfox 10". This helicopter is now equipped with a radar nose.
[D-HBKA] BK.117D3 DRF Luftrettung. Production flight as "Redfox 5". Future reg D-HXFB clearly visible under sticker. c/n 21030
[D-HBTB] BK.117D3 The white/red H145 noted last time again made a production flight as "Redfox 10". C/n is 21020.
[D-HCBD] EC.135T3H SMURD, Production flight as "Redfox 3". C/n 2123. Another SMURD was noted in the hangar but remained unidentified.
[D-HCBO] EC.135T3H RThaiAF first nvolved in some kind of presentation in hangar C9/1 to some Thai AF officials with lightshow etc, later towed into the new hangar in the western area. c/n 2130
D-HCBS BK.117D2m Airbus. Pulled out of C7a in preparation for flight. (c/n 20259)
D-HCBZ BK.117D2 the blue white H145 with c/n 20337 is still not delivered. Noted inside the new hangar in the west.
Two anonymous helicopter were also noted:
First the unmarked Japanese Police EC.135 noted last week was again outside for some tests.
The second one was a H145 in the colours of the Norsk Luftambulanse in the back of hangar D10
