Het museum wordt sinds vele jaren gerund door Viktor Talpa, de man waar de video mee opent. Hij lijkt wel of hij in een van de hutjes achterin het museum woont. De uitbreiding op termijn van Riga airport is logisch, Air Baltic doet het erg goed. Aangezien het museum voor het ambitieuze RIX Airport maar een verzameling oud roest is, ben ik bang dat Viktor het niet gaat redden. De Tu-22 en Tu-154 staan overigens op platformen van de luchthaven en lijken nog te verplaatsen. Van veel van de kisten binnen de muren zal de sloper het eindstation zijn. Ik hoop dat er nog wat 'gratis af te halen' kisten naar andere musea gehaald kunnen worden. Het is een unieke collectie, maar zoals bij zoveel musea geen geld...

This is the last opportunity to see the unique exhibits before relocating the museum to a new location on the other side of Riga Airport in Skulte. How long will it take to transport museum valuables when the museum reopens is unknown. There is a reason to hurry.
The museum is open for visitors only until May 1, 2021.
The museum can be visited on weekdays from 10 am to 4 pm, and on weekends from 10 am to 2 pm.
