Biggest problem will be the VC.10s as can be read in the link provided.ErwinS wrote:The Buccs are going to Kemble
Cost to move just one is 300.000 pounds.

All the big props and jets are under threat there... the same goes for the rare Airbus Super Guppy, the Shackleton, the Canberra, the Victor, the Nimrod... not to mention the Hunters and the Tornado. Sad... And the Tristars, too.

TRhere's a crowdfunding campaign underway to collect enough money to make the move of the Buccs possible. They need about GBP19,000 to make the move.

Re: New Bruntingthorpe owners want old planes gone by Nov202
The Buccaneer Aviation Group wants to thank all of you on this forum for supporting us on the crowdfunder project. We have achieved our initial target of just under £19,000 in 12 days. We are humbled and stunned by the response. We are continuing to raise funds for the remaining 43 days to cover two things.
As many of you that have ever been part of a project, particulary one that you have no experinece of undertaking before, will know. there are always unexpected expenses and .... yes we have meet a couple that have not proved a problem in the past but in 2020 are now an issue. So more finance is needed to cover these costs.
And secondly, The Buccaneer Aviation Group, has always had as its long term goal putting these jets under cover - modest at first but with potential. Any donations over and above the move costs will go into a seperate fund for these shelters.
The Buccaneer Aviation Group has taken the route of taking control of its future and finding an airfield where we were free to run the jets at any time without having to ask the leaseholder to move cars to release them or book slots on the runway, always second in line to commecial users.
Thank you for your support and I know that we may see you at Kemble during USAF FFD deployments in 2021.
Kind Regards. Mike Overs TBAG Admin michaelovers@btinternet.com
