REQ: French Army Gazelle coded "ABB" October 2009

Post by Sjoerd »

As per subject, I'm looking for someone to help ID this French Gazelle. It was noted and photographed at Istres on the 9th of October 2009, but ever since eluded me from identfication.

I saw 1026 as ABB on May 13, 1990 and 1353 as ABB on May 28, 2000.

All I can find is an internet reference that the French registration (F-M)ABB was apparently assigned to serial SA342M 4059 in 1991, and I have seen and logged 4059 at the Le Bourget airshow in 1991. Thereare some photos of it on the internet being at Le Bourget, though on one it is mistakenly identified as "4055", but there the code "ABB" is not worn. It carries test registration F-ZKCV and Le Bourget code H-191 :? In 2011, 4059 was (F-M)GBF..

Further to that, this website:
https://www.helis.com/database/cn/5888/
suggests that SA342M 4055 actually WAS (F-M)ABB in 2004...

Thanks Frank. I logged it myself in 2004 at Compiegne as 4055, but devoid of dayglow parts. I had assumed it changed identity afterwards. However, 4055 seemed to be sold as N342GZ (also coded ABB) . So it might just be this one afterall.
